Police said a tractor, being towed behind a Chevy Nova, began fishtailing near Les Schwab Tire Center, forcing drivers to try to get out of the way. A white Pontiac dodged into a driveway at the tire store, crashing into a parked tire service truck. The driver of that car was taken to Samaritan Albany General Hospital with unknown injuries. The Nova continued down the street to near Fulton Street S.E. as parts of the tractor separated. The Nova driver's name was not immediately available. Officer Robert Hayes said it took some time to piece together what had happened because parts of the wreck were spread over about four blocks. The wreck was reported about 9:15 a.m.
