Albany Police
Sign stolen - The outside sign at Downtown Tattoo and Piercing was stolen and there was vandalism to the business at 224 Washington St. S.W., reported about 12:45 p.m. Tuesday. The sign is valued at $150. Damage to the building is estimated at $50 or less and occurred when the culprits removed the sign.
Linn County Sheriff
Into a power pole - Deputies responded to a single vehicle that crashed into a power pole on the Kingston-Jordan Highway near Valley View Drive about 8 a.m. Tuesday. Nobody was injured. Telephone and Consumer's Power lines were on the ground, so a flagging crew was called. Consumer's Power replaced the pole.
School vandalism - A caller told the sheriff's office about 9:05 a.m. Tuesday that someone had vandalized the stadium bleachers at Harrisburg High School, 400 S. Ninth St. A knife, cell phone and 24 beer cans were left behind.
Motorcycle crash - A Portland man was taken by air ambulance to a hospital in Portland after crashing his motorcycle into a pickup about 11 a.m. Tuesday in the 40000 block of Highway 228 between Holley and Sweet Home.
The motorcycle and the pickup both were going east on Highway 228 when the pickup signaled to turn into a driveway. The motorcycle was behind and tried to pass, striking the pickup in the left rear corner.
Down a man hole - A caller told the sheriff's office about 8:55 a.m. Tuesday that two men were under a man hole cover in the Becker Ridge subdivision in Millersburg. The caller spotted at least one man standing inside a sewer man hole about 200 feet east of Woods Drive. A deputy climbed down into the man hole but found nothing suspicious.
Deputies will do an extra patrol.
Shoots self - A man went to Lebanon Urgent Care about 4:10 p.m. Tuesday with a self-inflicted BB gun wound in his leg. The man told deputies he was shooting at some tires in his garage when one of the BBs bounced back, hitting him in the shin.
The deputy counseled the man about using proper backstops when firing weapons.
Oregon State Police
Head-on crash - Two cars collided head on about 6:40 p.m. Tuesday in the 4500 block of Highway 20. The highway was blocked while medics assisted four people.
One person was taken to the hospital in Corvallis with undetermined injuries.
No other information was available.
