If the election were held today, which presidential candidate would get your vote?
Of the 443 respondents to that question on democratherald.com during the past week, 205 (47 percent) cast their votes for Republican John McCain.
Democrat Barack Obama received 156 votes (36 percent).
Here are the vote tallies for other presidential candidates:
* Robert "Bob" Barr, Libertarian Party, 7 votes (2 percent).
* Charles "Chuck" Baldwin, U.S. Taxpayers Party, 4 votes (1 percent).
* Ralph Nader, Independent, Natural Law Party, 4 votes (1 percent).
* Cynthia McKinney, Green Party, Peace and Freedom, 3 votes (1 percent).
* None of the above, 54 votes (12 percent).
The poll appeared on the website from Aug. 18 through 9:30 a.m. this morning.

"Should the drinking age be lowered from 21 to 18, as recommended by a number of college presidents?"
