ALBANY
Antiques in the Streets set for Saturday
The Albany Downtown Association will sponsor the 10th annual Antiques in the Streets celebration on Saturday.
Association Director Rick Rogers says this year's event will feature more than 60 dealers and nonprofit participants from the West Coast. They will offer quality antiques, along with old house parts, collectibles, art and more.
The dealers will set up on Ferry and Broadalbin streets between First and Second avenues, as well as in adjacent parking lots. The sale will open to the public at 8 a.m. and continue until 4 p.m.
According to Rogers, Albany already has a reputation throughout the Northwest as a prime shopping district for antique buyers because of the large number of shops downtown.

Dinner will be served from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. under tents at the baseball field.
On the menu along with the sandwiches are baked beans, watermelon, cole slaw, ice cream and beverages, said Bill O'Bryan, president of the West Albany Booster Club. The cost to attend the "Bulldog Fan Fest" is $8 per person or $25 for a family.
Proceeds will help students take part in activities such as photography, art, band, robotics and athletics.
