The Albany Public Library at 2450 14th Ave. S.E. reopened today after being closed on Tuesday.
Employees arriving at the library Tuesday morning found water bubbling up into the parking lot. The pipe carrying water to the library was shut off so repairs could be made.
A crew from T. Gerding of Corvallis, the company that converted the building into a library, discovered an old pipe had broken. The pipe was not installed as part of the remodel project.
None of the water made it inside the building.
