ALBANY POLICE

Burglary - A burglary at a home in the 1000 block of Fifth Avenue S.E. was reported Sunday. Two computers, a safe and several other things were reported missing.

Collision - A 14-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle while crossing Queen Avenue near Maple Street S.W. around 5:20 p.m. Saturday. The girl had minor injuries and was taken to the Albany hospital by her mother. No citations were issued.

LINN COUNTY SHERIFF

Car break-ins - Two vehicles parked in the 300 block of W. Fourth Street in Halsey were broken into sometime before Sunday morning. A Kenwood CD player, CDs, a machete and coins were among the items stolen.

Also on Sunday, the sheriff's office took a report of a vehicle broken into in the 600 block of E. First Street in Halsey. The vehicle had been left unlocked and the thief got away with two flashlights, a pocketknife and half a box of Ding Dongs.

SWEET HOME POLICE

Ring search - Police received a call at 1:13 a.m. Saturday about two people who got out of a car and were in the middle of a street. An officer responded to the location and learned that a woman driving the car thought she might have lost her wedding ring when she threw a cigarette out the window. The people were searching for the ring.
