ALBANY POLICE

Tool theft - Tools, including drills, saws, sanders and a Craftsman table saw, were reported stolen Sunday from a carport in the 1600 block of First Avenue N.E.

Neglect - On Sunday, a police sergeant spotted two unattended children, ages 4 and 5, outside near Fifth Avenue and Baker Street S.E. A woman who is the mother of one of the children and was babysitting the other was found inside a nearby apartment. She was cited for child neglect.

Alleged fraud - Two 17-year-old boys were arrested Monday on allegations that they stole money while working for a Chevron gas station on Airport Road S.E. According to a police report, the boys used customer's gas credit cards to obtain cash for themselves.

Stolen car - A green 1997 Nissan Pathfinder with Oregon license YWW 626 was reported stolen Sunday from the parking lot in the 2300 block of 14th Ave. S.E. The vehicle had been left unlocked with the engine running, according to a police report.

LINN COUNTY SHERIFF

Motorcycle crash - A 46-year-old man was found injured this morning after his motorcycle crashed on Bellinger Scale Road near Berlin Road. The man, whose name was not released this morning, was taken by REACH helicopter to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Eugene. Deputies were notified of the crash at 6:30 a.m.

Burglary - A barn in the 39000 block of McDowell Creek Drive was burglarized Saturday night. Two rifles and several knives were stolen. Estimated value: $950.

Copper theft - About 500 pounds of copper worth more than $1,000 was reported stolen Monday from a business on Old Highway 34 in Tangent.

LEBANON POLICE

Burglary - An Xbox, guitar, and TV were reported stolen Saturday from a home in the 800 block of West D Street. Value: $1,100.

Arrest - Rusty Aaron Eli, 17, was arrested around 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Sweet Home police station and transported to the Linn Benton Juvenile Detention Center on charges of first-degree sex abuse and related offenses. According to police reports, the victim is a 14-year-old girl, and the alleged offense was reported Nov. 20.
