LEBANON - An expert on multiple sclerosis will speak Tuesday evening in Lebanon. Dr. Allen C. Bowling, director of the Multiple Sclerosis Service in Colorado, will talk during a workshop on "Healthy Living with Multiple Sclerosis and Chronic Pain."
The free workshop, hosted by the Lebanon M.S. Support Group, starts at 6 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 480 S. Main St. The program includes a light buffet.
Bowling is author of three books, including "Alternative Medicine and Multiple Sclerosis" and "Multiple Sclerosis: The Guide to Treatment and Management."
Also speaking will be Dr. Elizabeth Laurenson, naturopathic physician with the Corvallis Heartspring Wellness Center; and Namita Gandhi, a mid-valley resident and developer of the Move Beyond Pain program and Integrative Movement Clinic.
Multiple sclerosis is a chronic, progressive illness that affects the nerves in the brain, spinal cord, and other parts of the central nervous system.
