HARRISBURG - The Harrisburg School Board voted unanimously Thursday to hire Brian Wolf as the new superintendent for the Harrisburg School District.
Wolf is superintendent/principal of the Huntington School District, a school of 87 students in kindergarten through 12th grade halfway between Baker City and Ontario, near the Idaho border.
He also coaches middle school boys basketball and teaches weight training, according to the district's website.
Wolf received a bachelor's degree in science education from Oregon State University in 1978, a teaching certificate from what was then Western Oregon State College in 1986, and a master's degree and administrative credentials from the University of Oregon between 2001 and this year.
He has taught for 30 years and has been an administrator for five.
Board members had interviewed five candidates, then narrowed the field to three before selecting Wolf.
