Albany Police

Injury crash - Two women were injured at about 11 a.m. Friday when the driver of a Dodge 2500 pickup traveling west on Pacific Boulevard Southeast allegedly disregarded a traffic light and hit a Ford Focus traveling north on Geary Street, pushing the Focus into the Walgreens parking lot.

Kasandra Edith Kroker, 62, of Scio was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device and careless driving.

Names of the two occupants of the Focus were not available; the passenger was a 56-year-old woman and the driver was a 59-year-old woman. They were both complaining of neck injuries and transported to the Albany hospital.

Meth citation - Police cited and released Waylon Kent Peterson, 33, of Albany Saturday after a routine traffic stop revealed warrants for meth possession and other charges. He is scheduled to appear in Linn County Circuit Court on Dec. 10.

Theft from car - A caller reported the theft of a GPS system and Nikon digital camera from a 2004 Mazda 6 parked in the 3100 block of 27th Avenue S.E. The theft happened sometime between midnight and 10:20 a.m. Saturday. Loss is estimated at $800. A baggie full of broken spark plugs was found in the driveway. Police believe the ceramic parts were used to break the passenger side window of the car.

Linn County Sheriff

Irony - A resident of the 300 block of Center Street reported Friday someone had cut down and stolen her surveillance cameras. Loss of value was estimated at $150. Deputies noted no evidence left at the scene.

ATVs stolen - Deputies took a report of two Honda ATVs, both yellow and black in color, stolen from the 200 block of N.W. Ninth Avenue in Mill City on Friday.
