Give 2 the Troops has moved to the corner of First Avenue and Montgomery Street in Albany. Owner David Reece is donating 3,000 square feet of office space in his new building for at least the next two months. Previously, the nonprofit and non-political organization was based at A Storage Place, 2155 Pacific Blvd. S.W.

Volunteers spend hours soliciting for and packaging food, toiletries, books, video games and other items for the troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Through the efforts of Jessica Pankratz, Melinda Abresch and Leanne Langley at Town & Country Realty, the group was able to more than double storage and work space for the coming busy season, said Sharon Crary of Albany, the point person for the group in Oregon and Washington.

For information about contributing items or time to help, contact Crary at (541) 971-2671.
