ALBANY: Handbell group seeks members
A local handbell group is looking to add members.
Rehearsals are once a week on Sunday afternoons or Wednesdays evenings at First Assembly of God, 2817 Santiam Highway S.E., Albany. Performances are on a rotational basis at various venues.

LEBANON: 'Biggest Loser' star to speak
Mid-valley residents will have the chance to learn weight loss tips from an experienced professional at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital's next Life Improvement class.
Ken Coleman, who was on the NBC reality show "The Biggest Loser" in 2006, will speak at the free class at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, in conference rooms B and C at the hospital.
Coleman spoke at the hospital in 2007, sharing his experiences on "The Biggest Loser." This time, he will share helpful information on how to get motivated, start a consistent exercise program and develop a good diet to improve your health.

An annual picnic and potluck for Oregon State University retirees will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at 31919 N. Lake Creed Road.
