ALBANY POLICE

Crash on RR tracks - Police and medics responded at 8:46 p.m. Monday to a two-vehicle collision on the railroad tracks near Queen Avenue and Pacific Boulevard. A completed crash report was not available this morning. However, initial information indicated that one of the people involved was arrested on outstanding warrants and taken to the Linn County Jail.

LINN COUNTY SHERIFF

Pickup vs. tree - A driver was taken by Reach helicopter to the Corvallis hospital Tuesday morning after crashing into a tree on Rock Hill Drive, according to the sheriff's office.

Joseph Williams, 48, was driving a 2000 Chevrolet pickup when he went off the road at a corner, clipped a guard rail and struck a tree. He had non life-threatening injuries, according to the sheriff's office.

DUII crash - Deputies responded at 11:19 p.m. Monday to a single-vehicle rollover on Tangent Loop about a half-mile from Highway 34.

According to the sheriff's office, Diane Marie Stephens, 19, of Lebanon was driving south when she drifted off the east shoulder, over-corrected and rolled the vehicle twice. Another driver took her to Samaritan Albany General Hospital, where she was treated and released.

Deputies arrested Stephens on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants and driving while suspended. She was taken to the Linn County Jail.

BENTON COUNTY SHERIFF

Tire burning - Deputies contacted two men and a 17-year-old boy in the parking lot of Oak Grove Elementary School in North Albany at about 7 p.m. Sunday. One of the men was driving a 2000 Ford Mustang "burning off an old set of tires," according to a deputy's report. The man caused damage to the asphalt parking lot. He was cited for trespassing and criminal mischief. The two other people were cited for trespassing.
