Activities planned downtown Saturday

The Albany Downtown Association will present its fourth "Learn Something New Day" on Saturday.

The event offers a chance to attend classes at a variety of downtown businesses. There is no charge to attend the sessions, which will be held at 11 a.m. and 1 and 2:30 p.m. Classes include:

• Aromatique/Charms of Tea, 333 First Ave. W. Introduction to tea varieties and tea tasting.

• Communicating Vessels, 238 Third Ave. S.E. Introduction to yoga.

• Eve Barry Gifts, 111 Broadalbin St. S.W. How to make floral bows.

• In-Spirit Marketing, 343 First Ave. W. Identity theft solutions and you.

• Quilt Loft, 405 First Ave. W. Introduction to paper piecing, kit included.

• Scrappin' Time, 434 First Ave. W. Make and take cards.

• Spearit Beads, 331 Second Ave. W. Making wine glass charms.

• Surefire Design, 201 Second Ave. W. Introduction to ceramic painting.

• Two Rivers Fly Shop, 204 First Ave. W. Introduction to tying fishing flies.

• Velvet Touch Candies, 122 Ferry St. W. Introduction to chocolate.

• Vintique, 325 First Ave. W. How to tell real antiques from reproductions.

Each class will last about 45 minutes to an hour.
