Male singing group to perform tonight

LEBANON - The Thorsmen, a Norwegian male singing group under the direction of Peter Butler and based in Salem, will sing at 6 tonight at Century Fields, 181 S. Second Street, and at 7 p.m. at Lebanon Rehab, 350 S. Eighth Street.

The public is invited to both concerts.

Donation, membership info on tap for Legion

Albany American Legion Post 10 will present a check for $1,000 at

7 tonight to patrol dog Draco and handler Dan Kloss of the Albany Police Department at the beginning of its regular meeting. This donation is toward the acquisition of a second patrol dog for the police department.

The American Legion Oregon District 3 commander will visit and address the members regarding membership.

Membership initiation will be held for those who have yet to be initiated. Those members are invited to call Post 10 Commander Margo Coleman at 928-1961, or 990-8362, for more information.
