SWEET HOME - Summer camping in the Sweet Home Ranger District begins Friday, with the opening of Trout Creek, Yukwah, Fernview and House Rock campgrounds, all operated by Todd and Tom Donohue of South Santiam Services.

Lost Prairie campground will open Memorial Day weekend, weather permitting, and is operated by Hoodoo Concessionaire.

Camping is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Fees are $12 per night with the exception of Lost Prairie, which is $10 per night. Second vehicles cost $5.

Campgrounds have vault toilets and hand-pumped water.

Longbow Organization Camp is a reservation-only group site for up to 50 people that rents for $100 per night. The camp will be open May 1 through Sept. 30.
