CORVALLIS n The Samaritan Heart & Vascular Institute is hosting free vascular health screenings for peripheral arterial disease, abdominal aortic aneurysm and stroke risk on four consecutive Wednesdays in September.
The Society of Interventional Radiology has developed Legs for Life, a free screening for people who may be at risk for peripheral arterial disease and abdominal aortic aneurysm.
The screenings will be held Sept. 9, 16, 23 and 30 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis.
According to Samaritan, people over 50 or those who have a family history of heart disease, suffer from diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and/or are smokers, are overweight or lead an inactive lifestyle should consider a free screening.
