Linn County deputies seize marijuana plants

FOSTER - Linn County sheriff's deputies seized nearly 100 mature marijuana plants and 54 marijuana clones Friday at two houses in the Foster area.

Sheriff Tim Mueller reported that deputies served a search warrant at 27890 Riggs Hill Road and collected 64 mature marijuana plants ranging from 3 feet to 6 feet in height. Also taken at the site were 54 marijuana clones.

The plants were seized from inside and outside the residence along with several pounds of usable marijuana. In addition, packaging material, scales, surveillance and grow equipment were taken.

Evidence collected from the initial warrent led to a second location at 27868 Riggs Hill Road where an additional 34 mature marijuana plants were confiscated. The plants at the second address ranged in height from 2 to 4 feet. The residence also yielded grow equipment and timers.

The residence was set up for growing and was void of furniture.

The Sheriff's Office reported that the investigation is continuing and no arrests have been made at this time.
