Did you resolve to give up tobacco in the new year? To help support those wishing to kick the habit, Samaritan Health Services will host free informational sessions about options for quitting.
Local resources, such as tobacco cessation classes and the Oregon Quit Line, will be presented along with a variety of quitting techniques to help you find the right method.
Two sessions were set for today in Corvallis:
• 1:30 p.m., Avery Square, Suite 123 - conference room A, 815 N.W. Ninth St.
• 3 p.m., Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, conference room B, 3600 N.W. Samaritan Drive.
Additional sessions are:
• 3 p.m. Tuesday, Samaritan Albany General Hospital, Endicott Conference Room, 1046 Sixth Ave. S.W.
• 3 p.m. Thursday, Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital, conference room 5, 525 N. Santiam Highway.
Each free, one-hour class will be led by respiratory therapist Robert Gulley and a Samaritan Health Services pharmacist. Pre-registration is appreciated, but not required.
