Albany Police

Crash - Police responded at 9:36 p.m. Tuesday to a motorcycle crash on Spring Hill Drive near North Pointe Drive in North Albany. The motorcycle operator, Robert Leroy Hopkins, 45, was taken to the Albany hospital, according to an initial police report. No other details were available.

Linn County Sheriff

Theft update - The sheriff's office had a list this morning of the items stolen from campers at the Linn County Fair & Expo Center earlier this week during the Country Coach RV Rally. The items include a black and silver Trek mountain bicycle, blue Ozark camp chair, teal Schwinn 18-speed mountain bike, Buzz stand-up scooter and two black nylon camp chairs.

Security at the fairgrounds was increased after the nighttime thefts, and deputies are doing extra patrols as they have time, according to the sheriff's office.

Crash - Deputies responded at 5:40 p.m. Tuesday to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 99E in Halsey.

According to the sheriff's office, driver Jessica Louise Gebb, 36, of Noti was stopped at a light when a car struck her vehicle from behind. Gebb was taken in a personal vehicle to a hospital.

The other driver, David Lopez Cordova, 18, of Albany was not taken to a hospital. He was cited for careless driving.

Burglary - A home on Santiam Highway in Waterloo was broken into sometime between Saturday and Tuesday. Stolen items included a plasma cutter, welder, chain saw and a cherry wood jewelry case. The investigation continues.

Sweet Home Police

Child neglect - A 27-year-old woman was arrested in a section of Osage Street Monday and charged with two counts of second-degree child neglect and three counts of felony first-degree criminal mistreatment. She was booked, cited and released.
