People arrested are innocent unless proved otherwise in court. Initial charges often change as a case progresses.
ALBANY POLICE
Stolen trailer - Two men in a yellow and white motor home reportedly stole a trailer from Dogwood Avenue S.E. at about 12:45 a.m. today. The owner of the trailer followed the thieves to the 300 block of Western Street, where the thieves unhooked the trailer and left. Police were unable to locate the suspects.
Crash - Police responded to a two-vehicle collision at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Second Avenue and Main Street S.E.
According to a police report, Michael James Nesci, 51, of Albany was driving a 1990 Mercury Sable and struck the back of a 1997 Dodge van that was turning from Second Avenue onto Main Street.
The other driver, Myrna Ann Kuske, 66, of Albany, and one of her passengers were taken by ambulance to the Albany hospital for possible injuries.
Nesci was cited for following too close and failure to carry proof of insurance.
LINN COUNTY SHERIFF
Stereo stolen - Stereo equipment and other items worth $1,600 were reported stolen Thursday from a building in the 37000 block of Richardson Gap Road.
Warehouse burglary - Two teenage boys were charged with burglary Tuesday evening after they reportedly entered a warehouse on Highway 99E in Tangent. The boys were caught outside and taken to the Linn Benton Juvenile Detention Center.
Shots fired - A man was arrested Thursday night after he allegedly fired three or four rounds from a shotgun at a trailer next to his property on Dever Conner Road, according to the sheriff's office.
Greg Lynn Hoefer, 50, of Millersburg was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, recklessly endangering and criminal mischief. He was lodged in the Linn County Jail.
