People arrested are innocent unless proven otherwise in court. Initial charges often change as a case progresses.
ALBANY POLICE
Armed disturbance - A woman called police at about 10:45 p.m. Monday saying her "ex just pulled a .22" on her. The man left the residence, in the 320 block of Calapooia Street S.W., on foot but police were able to quickly locate him. Douglas William Treisch, 22, of Albany was charged with domestic abuse, menacing and pointing a firearm at another. He was lodged at the Linn County Jail.
Trailer stolen - A $1,795 trailer was stolen from an outdoor display Sunday at Home Depot on Spicer Road. The utility trailer had been secured with a cable, which was cut. The store supplied police with the surveillance video and they are looking for a brown and cream full-size Ford pickup with a brown canopy.
Hit and run - The victim of a rear-end collision at about 12:35 p.m. Monday in the 1700 block of Waverly Drive S.E. said the other car kept going so she followed the suspect car and called police. Police located Thomas Fenn Sr. nearby and he claimed he did not remember hitting the vehicle. His mother, his passenger, told police she clearly remembered the accident and asked her son what he was doing. While checking Fenn's records, the officer noticed Thomas Fenn Jr. had a warrant out. Fenn Sr. was cited for failure to perform the duties of a driver and released. Fenn Jr. was located and taken to Linn County Jail. The victim of the hit and run was treated for back pain by medics at the scene.
LINN COUNTY SHERIFF
Missing pup - At about noon Monday the owner of a Rottweiler puppy was told by a neighbor the dog had been stolen by a middle-aged lady in a little blue car. The owner called police but later found out another neighbor had noticed the dog was out and took it to work with her. The dog was returned safely.
Arrest - Deputies caught up with a man who allegedly cut the brake line to the car his sister was driving and made a pipe bomb to be used in that car. The sister had planned to testify against the brother in court on drug charges. The brother repaired the brakes before the sister used the car and the bomb was seized by police before it could be used.
Jacob Matthew Luttrell, 29, of Philomath was arrested Sunday on charges including fourth-degree domestic assault, menacing and unlawful manufacturing of a device.
SWEET HOME POLICE
Domestic violence - A woman Sunday afternoon in the 4700 block of Long Lane allegedly set fire to a man's clothes, popped the tires on his vehicles and hit him with a bottle. Jeana Lynn Doll, 24, was arrested for fourth-degree domestic violence and lodged at the Linn County Jail.
