South Albany High School captured second place and West Albany took third Saturday in the 5A Large Division at the 2008 OSAA Dance and Drill State Championships at Memorial Coliseum in Portland.

Pendleton won the division.

South Albany's Cassie Allen and Rachel Ross were named 5A All-State, as were West Albany's Erika Helsing and Katie Kizer.

Lebanon finished third in the 5A Small Division, which Churchill won.

Crook County placed second and Crescent Valley finished seventh.

Santiam High School of Mill City won the 3A/2A/1A Division title Saturday evening at the Chiles Center in Portland.

Sweet Home placed 12th in the 4A division, also at the Chiles Center. Stayton won the division, and Philomath took ninth.
