People arrested are innocent unless proven otherwise in court. Initial charges often change as a case progresses.
Albany police
Man arrested - Albany police arrested James Dean Maynard, 45, of Albany on first-degree burglary charges Monday. A woman who called police said friends told her her "ex" had walked in her home, where he had never lived, and was taking things. Maynard was lodged in the Linn County Jail.
Injury wreck - Albany officers cited a driver and a bicyclist Monday morning after the two collided in the 1600 block of Waverly Drive S.E.
The bicyclist, Sukhbev Gill, 55, was taken to Samaritan Albany General Hospital for treatment of a possible broken arm.
According to a police report, Gill was biking northbound in the southbound lane of travel on Waverly about 8:30 a.m. when he crossed in front of 16th Avenue. He was cited for failure to use the bike lane.
The driver, Harry Douglas McLeod, 66, was charged with rolling through the stop sign at 16th in his 1996 Chevrolet Blazer and striking the cyclist.
Death investigation - Someone in the 1600 block of Geary St. S.E. contacted police about 2 p.m. Monday to report a man's body hanging in the garage. Police say the death of the man, in his 50s, appears to be self-inflicted but are continuing to investigate. His identity has not yet been confirmed.
Burglary - A man house-sitting in the 400 block of Churchill Downs Street S.E. reported a break-in about 5:30 p.m. Monday. Among the stolen items were a 32-inch television, 20-inch television, Dell flat screen desktop computer, laser printer, and .38 special Lamma revolver. Estimated total loss: $1,600.

Injury wreck - The man injured Monday morning in a rollover on Interstate 5 at the south Jefferson-Scio exit has been identified as Nicholas W. Chambers, 32, of Corvallis. According to a police report, Chambers was headed north about 7:25 a.m. when his car left the road to the right and rolled several times. He was taken to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis and was later cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, which was found in the vehicle. He was treated and released.
