During a search for stolen property and narcotics Tuesday, Albany police recovered a skid steer loader worth about $20,000 that had been stolen four years ago in Salem.
For the second time in two weeks, detectives have served a search warrant at 4620 Christopher Ave. S.E.
The Linn County Sheriff's Office served a warrant there on Aug. 5, seizing about three ounces of methamphetamine, guns and cash, and arresting five people.
Albany police, who had assisted county detectives during the first search, returned to the property with another warrant Tuesday. Detectives said they believed there were stolen items on the property and that narcotics activity had continued.
In addition to the skid steer, which is still in working condition, detectives said they found a plasma cutter stolen from a mill in Sweet Home and a boat motor stolen from Sunnyside Park at Foster Reservoir.
They said they also found user amounts of methamphetamine and marijuana, two handguns and two rifles.
The search included three motor homes, a house, two shops and about a dozen vehicles.
Frank Nate Gardner, 60, of Albany was lodged in the Linn County Jail on charges of possession and delivery of meth, aggravated theft by receiving and frequenting a place with controlled substances.
Dale Lee Brewer, 51, of Troutdale was booked at the jail on a charge of possession of meth.
Morgan Jean Jones, 28, of Albany was charged with possession of meth and obstructing government administration. She was also taken to the jail.
Gardner and Brewer had been among those arrested during the first search warrant.
The investigation continues and more arrests may be coming.
Albany police were assisted by the sheriff's office, and Lebanon and Sweet Home police. All four agencies cooperate on drug investigations under the name Linn Drug Task Force.
The Oregon National Guard helped by providing a light armored vehicle and the National Insurance Crime Bureau helped in identifying stolen property.
