The Benton County Sheriff's Office is working to identify a man who was found dead Sunday along the Willamette River north of Harrisburg.
Around 1 p.m., deer hunters found the man's body near Dodge Island Road on the west side of the Willamette River. The body appeared to have washed ashore, according to the sheriff's office.
This morning, investigators didn't know how the man was or how he died. An autopsy was scheduled for later in the day.
Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Eric Glass at 766-6858.
The Linn County Sheriff's Office assisted with the initial investigation.
