People arrested are innocent unless proven otherwise in court. Initial charges often change as a case progresses.
MISSING GIRL
Daughter found - Albany resident Shawna Mynear, who appealed for public help Wednesday in searching for her teenage daughter, says the girl was found.
"Thanks to all the involvement I had, we are happy to say we found her safe and sound Wednesday evening," Mynear wrote in an e-mail.
ALBANY POLICE
Meth arrests - Three men were arrested Wednesday in relation to a warrant served at a home in the 800 block of Queen Ave. S.E. Officers arrived around 11 a.m. looking for Gary Dale Turvey, 52, of Albany. The door was answered by Timothy Eugene Oard, 26, of Albany, who also had a warrant for his arrest. Turvey was found shortly after with Drexel Rae Haskins, 44, of Albany, who also had a warrant, at the Marco Polo at 2410 Pacific Blvd. S.E. and arrested. All three suspects were charged with meth-related offenses; Haskins and Turvey were also charged with heroin possession.
LINN COUNTY SHERIFF
Marijuana and meth charges - Detectives executed a search warrant in the 40000 block of Scio-Stayton Loop around 4 p.m. Wednesday.
Timothy John Halsted, 36, of Scio was arrested and charged with possession of meth and marijuana as well as unlawful delivery of marijuana. He was lodged at the Linn County Jail.
Carla Kaye Simmons, 38, of Scio was also arrested on a charge of meth possession. She was cited and conditionally released.
Animal neglect - Deputies responded to a report of a "very skinny, dirty horse" in the 36000 block of Rock Hill Drive around 4:35 p.m. Wednesday. Deputies found a dead foal being eaten by three dogs.
The owner of the animals, Robert J. Willes, reported the foal had been dead for about two weeks. The dogs were taken to foster care and the owner was told to "fatten up" the skinny mare, apparently the dead foal's mother, or the mare would be seized.
Willes was cited for second-degree neglect, a class B misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail, and cited for improper disposal of a carcass.
Burglary arrest - Deputies arrested Jessica Michelle Harms, 18, of Albany in connection with a Feb. 17 burglary of a digital camera, a Wii game system and Wii games, valued at $1,100. Harms was initially questioned about the incident in February but denied stealing the items. On April 12, she admitted to taking them. Harms was scheduled to appear in Linn Circuit Court today.
LEBANON POLICE
Drug arrest - Acting on a search warrant, officers and members of the Linn Drug Task Force arrested Colby Stephen Grissom, 45, Christopher Lee Cleveland, 45, Tina Marie Jakeman-Etzel, 39, and Patricia Erinn Cleveland, 40, all of Lebanon, around 3 p.m. Tuesday. The arrests were made in the 700 block of Tangent Street.
Patricia Cleveland was cited for meth possession and released. The other suspects were lodged in the Linn County Jail on charges of possession of meth and marijuana and dealing meth. Scales and other drug-packaging paraphernalia were seized at the scene.

OREGON STATE POLICE
Reported child neglect - Police were told last Friday afternoon that a 2-year-old girl had been left alone in a car outside the Adult Shop, which is across the parking lot from the Albany office of the state police.
According to a police report, the girl's mother said she left her daughter in the car because the business had a sign that said no one under 18 was allowed inside. OSP cited the 27-year-old Lebanon mother for second-degree child neglect.
