Albany Police
Theft from vehicle - A Kenwood stereo, subwoofer and amplifier were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1300 block of Howard Drive S.E. Thursday afternoon. Police have no suspects or witnesses.
Linn County Sheriff
Arrest - James Monroe Brawner, 50, currently of Oak Harbor, Wash., was arrested Thursday on charges of distributing marijuana to a person under 18 and endangering the welfare of a minor - his 12-year-old daughter. The incident allegedly occurred near Lebanon in February, but Brawner fled and was just recently tracked down. He was scheduled to appear in court today.
Traffic lag in Lyons - A Lyons woman asked police for extra patrols in her neighborhood because all the drug deals there are "slowing down traffic."
Sweet Home Police
Assault - A man calling from Allstar Auto in the 1800 block of Main Street late Thursday night said he heard someone outside trying to break into a car. When he went outside to check, a man hit him in the face and ran. Officers responded and checked the area for the attacker but did not find him. A report was taken for third-degree attempted robbery, assault and unauthorized entry to a motor vehicle.
Oregon State Police
Hits tree- An initial report shows a driver sustained injuries after a head-on car crash into a tree on Highway 226 at about 9:30 a.m. Thursday. He was in stable condition with possible neck and chest trauma.
