People arrested are innocent unless proven otherwise in court. Initial charges often change as a case progresses.

Albany Police

Drug deal arrest — Police this week released the details of a Nov. 9 arrest. After a tip, detectives believed drugs were being sold from a home in the 600 block of 18th Street S.E. Undercover officers were able to make a controlled substance purchase. The seller needed to go to a second location to pick up the merchandise and police followed. The man was arrested in the 5400 block of Pacific Boulevard S.E. when he produced the promised marijuana and meth. Bryant Randall Ross, 43, of Albany, was arrested on charges of unlawful delivery of marijuana, delivering meth within 1,000 feet of a school, delivery of meth and meth possession.

Marijuana, child neglect arrest — Albany police were responding to a residential home alarm in the 1400 block of Jefferson Street Nov. 13 just before 5 p.m. when the occupants opened the door and police were greeted with an “overwhelming” marijuana smell. Officers noticed evidence of a marijuana grow and called in detectives. A search warrant was obtained, and once inside police found marijuana plants and processed marijuana in excess of four pounds. The residents, Kimberly Rae Hammer, 25, and Anthony Dean Hammer, 28, are both facing charges of marijuana possession, manufacturing marijuana, delivering marijuana, first-degree child neglect and endangering the welfare of a minor.
