Wayne Roland Kenyon, 82, of Oakridge died Oct. 27 from kidney cancer.

He was born in Mitchell, S.D., to William McKenley and Viola Belle (Maxon) Kenyon. Wayne moved from Mitchell, S.D., when he was 8 years old. He moved to Halsey with his family and had lived in the Halsey-Lebanon area until moving to Oakridge to be closer to his family in May 2009.

He especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and bowling with family members and going to yearly family reunions. His favorite place to hunt was in Eastern Oregon around the Unity Reservoir area near Maple Springs.

Wayne is survived by his sons, Keith Tod Kenyon of Sweet Home and Scott Wayne Kenyon of Springfield; daughters Sherry Draper and husband Melvin of Oakridge, and Pam Alvarado and husband Hector of Oakridge; stepson Daniel Orsborn of Woodburn; stepdaughter Kathy Byers and husband Bruce of Vancouver, Wash.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Kenyon, in 2007.

A memorial and celebration of life potluck will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at Twin Cedars Mobile Park recreation room, 2796 S. Main Road, Lebanon.
