Betty Lou Leonard, 84, of Lebanon died Tuesday.
She was born in Shawano, Wis. She attended high school in Shawano and went to Carroll College in Waukesha, Wis. She married Thomas W. Leonard of Milwaukee, Wis., on Sept. 12, 1943.
The Leonards moved to Oregon in 1950, and Betty worked with her husband at the Tommy Leonard Accordion Studio in Albany for several years. She graduated from Oregon State University and taught fifth and sixth grades at Grand Prairie and Periwinkle Elementary Schools.
Betty was a member of Crowfoot Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas W.; daughter Laurie Liming of Bothell, Wash.; sons Lance Leonard of Covington, Wash., and Dr. Dann Leonard of Salem; and eight grandchildren.
An infant daughter, Shawna, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday at Twin Oaks Funeral Home. A graveside committal will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Willamette Memorial Cemetery.
