Artella "Alfred" Resor, 94, of Lebanon died Feb. 6 at the Timberview Care Center.
He was born in Dayton, Ohio, to Harley and Mary Emma Resor.
Before World War II, Alfred worked for Grand Canyon National Park, delivering tourists by mule through the Grand Canyon. After the war he worked for an Arizona cattle ranch.
He was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1965 and in 1967 married. Together with his wife, Minnie, Alfred spent several decades teaching people the Bible, mainly in the south. They settled in Sweet Home in 1988 and moved to assisted living in Lebanon in 2003.
Alfred is survived by his wife, Minnie Resor of Lebanon, who is 103 years old.
He was preceded in death by five sisters and seven brothers.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. today at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 150 S. Eighth St., Lebanon.
