Margaret E. Chapman, 61, of Albany died Tuesday at her home.

Margaret was born in Albany, the daughter of Matthew and Frances (Greenman) Thill. As a child, she moved to Lebanon, where she resided for several years. She attended school and graduated from St. Mary's Catholic School in Portland in the mid-1960s.

After high school, Margaret married Richard Chapman. They divorced several years later. They had lived in North Bend for a few years before moving back to Lebanon in the late 1960s. She worked as a real estate broker and was the owner/operator of Regal Real Estate in Lebanon for many years.

Margaret was a very active member of the Jaycee's organizations in Lebanon and Albany. She served in many capacities such as: U.S. Jaycee's Congresswoman for 1980-81 and Jaycee Women's President for 1982-83. She was also actively involved in the Albany Timber Carnival. Margaret loved spending time with her family, and enjoyed scrapbooking and card making.

Margaret married Bobby Foust in Arizona on Dec. 28, 2000.

She is survived by husband Bobby of Albany; son Gary and wife Jill Chapman of Lebanon; daughter Sheri Green of Milwaukie; brother Steven Thill of Lebanon; grandchildren Zach Chapman, Lisa and Brian; and several cousins.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 434 E. Grant St., in Lebanon.
