Phyllis J. Draemel

Phyllis J. Draemel, 82, of Lebanon died Sunday at her home.

She was born in Drummond, Okla., the daughter of William Edmund and Mary K. (Baker) Cummings. She was raised in Oklahoma and graduated from Enid High School.

Phyllis married Oscar Doyle Hanan on March 15, 1946. They lived in Tulsa, Okla., where they had three children. In 1960, the family moved to Camarillo, Calif., and Phyllis went to work as a secretary for the Pleasant Valley School District. Oscar preceded her in death in 1969.

Phyllis was active in the Camarillo Heights Methodist Church. She married Lt. Col. Dean H. Draemel on Feb. 15, 1975. Phyllis continued working for Pleasant Valley School District until retiring in 1983. Col. Draemel preceded her in death in 1993. Phyllis moved to Lebanon from Camarillo in 2000.

Phyllis enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading and her grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Doyle Hanan of Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., and William Keith Hanan of Los Osos, Calif.; daughter Tomilyn Quigley of Lebanon; sister Colleen Cardwell of Drummond, Okla.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

No local services are planned. A graveside service will be at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park in Camarillo. Huston-Jost Funeral Home is handling local arrangements.
