Jean Ann Morgan, 52, of Albany died Friday at Samaritan Albany General Hospital.

Jean was born to Raymond and Judy (Fryman) Veilleux in Albany, where she grew up and lived most of her life. After graduating from West Albany High School, she attended Western Oregon University in Monmouth, where she earned her teaching degree.

Jean taught school in Brooks for more than 20 years, mainly the first grade. In 2007 she had to retire due to health concerns.

Jean married Lee Morgan on March 25, 2007, in Jefferson.

She was a member of South Albany Community Church for most of her life, though she and Lee attended Albany First Evangelical Church for the past three years.

Jean is survived by husband Lee Morgan, son Kevin Veilleux, parents Raymond and Judy Veilleux, and brother Steven Veilleux, all of Albany.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Albany First Evangelical Church.
