Ray Virgil Walter, 78, of Corvallis died Sunday.

He was born in Burns to Raymond and Naomi (Moon) Walter. He married Virginia Beach on Oct. 28, 1956, in Burns.

Ray is survived by his wife, Virginia, of Corvallis; daughters Linda Johnson of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and Leigh Ann Holm of Puyallup, Wash.; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Northwood Christian Church, 2425 Harvest Lane, Springfield.
