Oct. 27, 1934 - June 16, 2009

William "Bill" Allen Hassenger, 74, of Albany passed away at his home.

He was born in Three Rivers, Mich., the son of Guy and Rose (Leman) Hassenger. He lived in the Albany and Lebanon areas most of his life and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. Bill enjoyed gardening, camping and hot-rodding.

He is survived by his daughter Sue and husband Milton Wilson of Albany; sons Dave and wife Brenda of Bellingham, Wash., and Buddy of Albany; sisters Mary Hardenbrook and Marie Reynolds, both of Tangent; granddaughters Amber Williams of Tennessee and Latasha Hassenger of Albany; great-grandchildren Hunter and Emily Williams of Tennessee; and ex-wife Dorothy Bailey of Albany.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Julie Hassenger and sister Harriet Kline.

A celebration of life will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at 31919 N. Lake Creek Drive, Space 66, Tangent, OR 97389.
