Edna Pearl Stolsig, 96, of Lebanon died Sunday at her home.

She was born in Williston, N.D., the daughter of John A. and Sula (Green) Wagenman. She moved to Eugene as a teenager, graduating from Eugene High School and then taking one year of business college.

Edna married John "Jack" Stolsig on April 16, 1932, in Eugene. The couple lived in Newport and Corvallis prior to settling in Lebanon in 1940. Jack preceded her in death on Dec. 18, 1991.

Edna had worked locally as a secretary for both Linn-Benton Community College and the Lebanon Elks Lodge. Edna was a member of the Lebanon Elks Lodge 1663, the wives of past exalted rulers and the Solo Steppers. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, sewing, gardening, doing yard work and attending the sporting events of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John and Jerrianne Stolsig of Lebanon; four grandchildren, Jonni McDougall of El Dorado Hills, Calif., Jacki Beck of Grants Pass, Jeff Stolsig of Lebanon and Joel Stolsig of Cameron Park, Calif.; and six great-grandchildren, J.J. Stolsig of Salem, Linzi Stolsig of Lebanon, Alex and Braden Beck of Grants Pass, and Andrew and Morgan Stolsig, both of Cameron Park.

Her brother Roger Wagenman preceded her in death.

A celebration of her life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Lebanon First Baptist Church. Huston-Jost Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
