Geneva Lee Maples Lamb, 89, of Lebanon passed away Wednesday at Tierra Rose Care Center in Salem.
She was born in Stella, Mo., to Ernest Curtis and Edna (Cook) Maples.
Geneva married William Earl "Bill" Lamb on June 3, 1935, in Stella. They had one son, Vernie Ernest Lamb. They lived on a farm in Missouri until moving to Oregon on March 17, 1950. Bill passed away Jan. 21, 2001, five months before they would have celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary.
Geneva liked camping, fishing and hunting as well as cooking and sewing. She enjoyed attending church at the Waterloo Chapel where she sang in the choir and had been a member for over 17 years. She also loved spending time with her family and friends.
Geneva was preceded in death by her son, Vernie; husband Bill; her parnets; and only brother Carol Gene Maples.
She is survived by her sister, Ola Nadine Durham of Missouri; sisters-in-law Hazel Maples of Washington and Kay McRay of Oregon; nephews Larry Earl Maples of Washington, Gary Maples of Washington and Curtis Durham of Keizer; and niece Norma Durham Forbes of California.
Geneva enjoyed her home and visiting with her many friends and cousins scattered around the United States.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the IOOF Cemetery in Lebanon. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
