Stewart Michael Wetter, 44, of Salem died Oct. 11 at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland.
He was born in Bloomington, Ill., to Charles Wetter and Elinor Vance. He married Kristina on Aug. 24, 2002.
Stewart was a graduate of Illinois State University. He had an extensive career in information technology that included working at Country Companies, SAIF, Valley Insurance, Unitrin, the state of Oregon and Regence BlueCross BlueShield. As an educator, Stewart taught computer classes at Chemeketa Community College and Portland Community College.
Stewart is survived by his wife, Kristina of Salem; daughters Jasmine of Salem and (from a previous marriage) Stacia of Dallas; and brothers Richard of Indianapolis, Ind., Bob of Decatur, Ill., T. Scott Wetter of Champaign, Ill., and Steve Wetter of Geneva, Switzerland.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
