Georgia May Pace, 81, of Sweet Home passed away Wednesday.

She was born in Monroe, Wash., to Oliver E. and Ruth Helen (Seeney) Green.

She moved to Sweet Home in 1941 and graduated from Sweet Home High School in 1947. She and App Pace married in 1948. Georgia was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time at home raising a family.

Georgia is survived by her sons, Robert, Kenneth, Gary, Steven and Richard Pace, all of Sweet Home, and Dennis Pace of Albany; daughter Shirlee Pace of Harrisburg, Pa.; brother Howard Green of Sweet Home; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, App Pace in 1982; sisters Florence Jones in 1967, Rose Reynolds in 2000, and Ann Green; and brother Lawrence Green in 1998.

A viewing will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Gilliland Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Samaritan Evergreen Hospice (www.sweethomefuneral.com).
