Richard Foster, 96, of Albany died Friday at a foster care home in Corvallis.
He was
born in Calexico, Calif., to Arthur and Willa A. (Banks) Foster.
Richard married Alice Harvey on Sept. 16, 1933. She died Aug. 25, 1959. He married Marian Anderson in 1962. She died in 1967. He married Luella Moore Bryant on May 3, 1968, in Reno, Nev. She
died Oct. 14, 2004.
He moved to Corvallis in 1947 where he worked for Evans Products for 25 years as a millwright and a jack of all trades. He moved to Albany in 1968. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Grand Lodge, No. 4, of Albany and was Master of the
Grand Lodge of Oregon in 1991.
Richard is survived by his children, Marilyn Pratt of Kelso, Wash., Vivian Going of Portland, James Bryant and Luanne Parker, both of Albany; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and brothe
r Virgil Foster of Salt Lake City, Utah.
He was preceded in death by his three wives; daughter Marjorie Hayes; son Richard Foster Jr.; brothers Cicel Mattingly, Robert Foster, Arthur Foster, Raymond Foster and Glen Foster; and sisters Gladys Cosby, Grace R
obert, Lena Vakuffki, Frances Mock and Mary McCarty.
A visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Fisher Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fisher Funeral Home, 306 Washington St. S.W., Albany, OR 97321 (www.fisherfuneralhome.com).
