Stephen Charles Rand, 63, of Lebanon died Thursday at his home.
Stephen was born in Covina, Calif., the son of David and Dorothy (Redd) Rand. He lived in Bakersfield, Calif., and later moved to Bellingham, Wash. He served in the Air Force as an aviator mechanic for two tours during Vietnam. After the Air Force, Stephen lived in Portland until moving to Lebanon in 2007. He worked as a truck driver for Georgia Pacific until retiring in 2000.
Stephen was a fun-loving, outgoing person who loved music, classic cars and waterskiing. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Rand.
He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Rand of Bellingham; daughters Denise Craun and Michelle Rand, both of Portland; son Jason Rand of Portland; brother Mike Rand of Santa Barbara, Calif.; sister Nancy Bergman of Bellingham; and friends Brad, Sherine and Sarah.
A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at American Legion Post 158 in Tigard.
Huston-Jost Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
