Thomas R. Zurcher, 53, of Lebanon died Sunday at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital.
Tom was born in Lebanon, the son of Clarence and Dorothy (Kauffman) Zurcher. He attended school and graduated from Lebanon Union High School in 1974. He worked for Champion Plywood in Lebanon until it closed in 1985. He had worked for Entek International in Lebanon for 16 years.
Tom enjoyed hunting and fishing, going to Willamette Speedway and being with family and friends.
He married Teresa Kommer in 1975. They were later divorced. He married Sandie Mankin in Lebanon on Feb. 13, 2003.
Tom is survived by his wife, Sandie of Lebanon; daughters Amber and Daphne Zurcher of Lebanon; step-daughter Amber Tuma of Kalispell, Mont.; brothers Robert Zurcher of Lebanon, Donald Zurcher of Prineville, Mike DeWitt of Riesel, Texas, and Tim DeWitt of Lebanon; sisters Susie Gillenwater of Lebanon, Gloria Suing of Albany, Edith James of Lebanon and Barbara Pedersen of Albany; grandson Josiah Tuttle; and several nieces and nephews and special friends.
Tom was preceded in death by a son, Bryce on Dec. 7, 1983.
A celebration of life and potluck will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at Waterloo Park Area No. 1.
