Tracy Michael Rost, 38, of Bend died Monday night at St. Charles Medical Center in Bend.
He was born at Memorial Hospital in Casper, Wyo., but grew up in Albany. Tracy graduated from South Albany High School in 1988. He moved to Bend in 1996, where he completed his certification and apprenticeship as an electrician. He worked for Gowdy Brothers Electric Inc. for 12 years.
Tracy was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved the outdoors. He was an amazing, self-taught cook. He enjoyed sports, participating in city league softball and flag football. He was a huge New York Giants fan.
Tracy is survived by his daughter, Madison Marie; mother and stepfather Paula and James Iverson of Albany; father and step-mother Bob and Nancy Rost of Salem; brothers Bobby of Pittsburgh, Pa., Jeff of San Antonio, Texas, and T.J. of Albany; sister Malissa of Redmond; grandmother Shirley of Albany; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew and cousins.
He was a dedicated and loving father to his daughter.
A viewing will be from
4 to 8 p.m. Friday at AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Faith Lutheran Church. The public is welcome.
A fund has been established to assist with costs for Tracy's daughter, Madison. The account is available through Washington Mutual under Madison Rost's name.
