Oriole (Wilson) McGregor, 86, of Lebanon died Friday at Marian Estates care facility in Sublimity.
She was born Oct. 14, 1922, in Aberdeen, S.D., the daughter of Daniel Morgan and Lizzie Louise (Frost) Jones. She graduated from Aberdeen High School and married Roy Wilson on May 29, 1943, in Aberdeen. They lived in Renton, Wash., and worked for Boeing during World War II. They returned to South Dakota after the war before settling in Lebanon in 1950. Oriole had worked locally as an accountant for various businesses. Roy preceded her in death on Aug. 17, 1986.
She married Melvin McGregor on Sept. 17, 1988, in Lebanon. They continued to live in Lebanon and enjoyed traveling and snow birding. Oriole moved to the Marian Estates in Sublimity nine years ago.
Oriole had been an active member of the Lebanon First Baptist Church and enjoyed oil painting, crocheting, gardening and fishing.
She is survived by her husband, Melvin, of Lebanon; children Barry Wilson of Ontario, and Carole Layman, Linda Boyd and Tim Wilson, all of Lebanon; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.
Viewing will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Huston-Jost Funeral Home. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Lebanon IOOF Cemetery.
