Ethel F. Knight, 94, of Lebanon, formerly of Napa, Calif., died Friday in Lebanon.

She was born in Venus, Ark., the daughter of William L. and Roena (Fredick) Fleming. She moved to California when she was 16 years old and graduated from Calistoga High School. She married Lawrence "Larry" Knight and they resided in Calistoga until moving to Napa in 1941. Ethel resided in Napa until moving to Oregon to be near son in 2005. Larry preceded her in death in 1982.

Ethel had worked at the Napa State Hospital for over 20 years as a psychiatric tech.

Ethel loved being needed. Her hobbies were helping other people and being a grandmother.

She is survived by her son, Al Knight and wife Carol of Sweet Home; daughter Roena Conway and husband Jerry of Ocala, Fla.; sisters Alta Lommel of Walnut Creek, Calif., and Bessie Knight of Napa, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by a son, Walt Knight in 2008.

A memorial service will be at a later date in Napa, Calif. Burial will be in St. Helena Cemetery in St. Helena, Calif.
