Matteson
Tom and Lois (Tullos) Matteson of Albany will celerbate their 62nd wedding anniversary Sunday.
They were married Nov. 8, 1947, in Oakland, Calif.
Tom worked at Matco Auction Company in Albany for 20 years.
His wife was his business partner. She is now confined to bed at Samaritan Evergreen Hospice.
Their children are Donna Carbonell of Baltimore, Md., Thomas W. Mattseon of Beaverton, and Mavis Matteson of Albany. They also have five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Nelson
Jim and Virginia (Norton) Nelson of Albany will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, at the home of Larry and Christy Nelson, 920 13th Ave N.E., Albany.
Jim and Virginia were married Nov. 13, 1959, in Bell Gardens, Calif.
Jim was a baker in Southern California for 25 years. After moving to Oregon in 1979 he worked in maintenance at Stayton High School until he retired in 1995.
Viriginia worked in child care at Linn-Benton Community College.
They both enjoy spending time with their family. Camping is a favorite activity.
They have three children, Vicki Adams of Jefferson, Peggy Fosdick of Albany and Larry Nelson of North Albany. They have seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way.
The couple requests no gifts.
