Kevin Taylor (Mailbag, April 25) is correct that the American Medical Association and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society have rejected the medical use of marijuana, but the Wisconsin State Medical Society, the National Institutes of Health, Vermont Medical Society, Virginia Nurses Association, San Francisco Medical Society, Rhode Island State Nurses Association, New York State Nurses Association, National Academy of Sciences, Institute of Medicine (IOM), Medical Society of the State of New York, Health Canada, Federation of American Scientists, British Medical Association and American Nurses Association are among the dozens of medical organizations endorsing medical marijuana.
