Mailbag: Same old rhetoric (Nov. 7)

I read in Saturday's mailbag (Oct. 31, 2009) that Ms. Kenagy had gone to see a play about an activist named Rachel Corrie. She claims to have wept "broken hearted" at the suffering (here it comes ...) that Americans fund. As normal, her selection of evil ones include: the Israeli government, Obama, for caving into Zionist pressure from Congress and Christian Zionists.

Considering Ms. Kenagy's past writings she certainly seems to be a "one trick pony" when it comes to her topics. When you read her name you can be fairly certain what the letter is going to be about.

However; in this latest letter I must give credit where it's due. She actually took a long stretch and called suicide bombers terrorists. But then she returned to her comfort zone to defend Hamas and praise them for essentially stopping the indiscriminate rocket launches into Southern Israel (nothing terroristic about that).

Essentially stopping? Isn't that like telling the judge you shouldn't have gotten that "photo" ticket because you essentially stopped before you made that right turn on red at the intersection. From what I've read in the D-H, that excuse hasn't been working out too well.

The only other change I could see in this letter was that she's branching out and starting to use the term Gazans instead of Palestinians. Maybe she picked that up at the play.

Other than that, it seems to be the same-o same-o Israel-bad, Palestinians-good rhetoric.
